Carmen, an 18" Doll Ball Gown
Every doll owner wishes their their 18” doll could be in this gorgeous, elegant ball gown. The lined bodice and sleeves are diamond pintucked. Beautiful beads and piping embellish the sleeves and neckline. The dupioni full skirt is layered with Sparkle Organza and silk satin ribbon finishes the organza hemline. Three small buttons close the back of the gown bodice, finishing this lovely confection ready to dress your doll so she can go to the Opera, or any special occasion! You will learn to make a block of double machine pinstitched dupioni in a diamond pattern. The sleeves and bodices will be cut from the block. You will also make narrow piping, insert it into the neckline, sleeves and waistline, then line the gown top. The Beaded Antwerp Stitch, fully explained in the instructions, will be used to bead the sleeves and neckline. Everything is included in this kit for you to make a Pale Blue, or Burgundy gown (with black accents) including fully illustrated instructions and complete pattern. All you have to supply is your sewing machine that can run 2 spools of thread at one time, and have a 9mm Pintuck foot with cable car, or Bernina 46C foot, or an Edge Guide/Quilting Guide to use for spacing the twin pintucks.
