Frothy Christening Bonnet

Berryhill Heirlooms
This frothy confection is just perfect for that beautiful baby or a spectacular gift. What's even better is the bonnet can be made using scraps of leftover laces, Swiss embroideries and beading. Students will learn how to piece the lace or embroidered strips together on a silk organdy base, cut out the bonnet and finish it with entredeux and gathered lace edging. Silk ribbons (student's choice of color) are inserted into the beading of the bonnet and are used for the ties and in the casing at the bonnet back. A Mother-of Pearl button graces each tie.

This 6-hour fine machine sewing class will go quickly because the bonnet is so fun to sew up and can be completed in class! The class is suitable for beginner fine machine sewing students and is approved by the Smocking Arts Guild of America.
