The Show, Workshop & Needlecraft Demonstration Schedule for your interest.
Costumed needlework demonstrations are a favorite and include a Colonial lady dressed in "undress" (working or everyday clothes of the 18th century) or, a Civil War attired lady (complete with hoop skirts) who demonstrates fine needlework. Susie has had the pleasure of demonstrating her craft at the Smithfield Patriot Day history celebrations and Smithfield Olden Days. If you or your organization wishes to schedule a demonstration or workshop please contact Berryhill Heirlooms through the website email address at email@example.com.
16-17 Apr '16: The Diamond State Stitchers (a SAGA Chapter) asked me to teach the Notions Necessaire and the Silk Ribbon Roll-up classes to their members and what fun we had! I'd never really been in Wilmington, DE before and it was absolutely beautiful. The classes were held in a very nice retirement center in a room filled with great light: perfect for stitching.
20-25 Sep '16: The SAGA National Convention was in Hampton, Virginia, close to my home. Market day was wonderful on Friday, 23 September. I was able to bring all sorts of goodies to include lots of kits, vintage and antique linens and hankies, unique sewing notions, patterns and more. It was fun learning to use the freight elevator at the Hampton Convention Center, too!
2-6 Nov '16: The Embroiderer's National Seminar was in Alexandria, VA this year, only 3 1/2 hours from my home. I took two classes then I had a table at Merchandise Night Friday night (4 Nov). It was an extremely busy two hours selling my goodies! The classes were fabulous and the needlework displays were awe-inspiring. Its always good to keep up my continuing needlework education.
8-15 Jan 2017: What a great gathering at Sewing at the Beach this year! The largest group of attendees were there and we had fun. I taught three classes on Wednesday, Wednesday night and all day Thursday, and then had my market booth the entire week.
Mar 30-Apr 2 2017: I will be teaching at the SAGA Retreat in Bedford Glen, MA (near Boston). I'm looking forward to traveling "up North" to see more of New England and teaching for our fantastic SAGA ladies!
Apr 17, 2017: The Fauquier, VA Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America has contracted with me to teach a one-day class featuring my Beaded Strawberry Scissor Case. This will be a really enjoyable class with some special ladies!
May 5-6, 2017: I'm off to Vicksburg, MS, to teach two classes for the Magnolia Stitchers (a SAGA chapter). We will cover my Silk Ribbon Roll-Up and the Silk Ribbon Embroidery Sampler. It will be a lovely trip and really fun, enjoyable classes.
